Konečného nám. 4-6

Located off-centre in the Brno city district of Veveří, Konečného náměstí is a smallish triangle-shaped square, directly adjacent to a botanical garden. Crossing it are the busy streets Kotlářská, Veveří and Úvoz. One of the Konečného square buildings underwent an extensive reconstruction in 1999-2000. The house was reconstructed using preserved period documents, such as newspaper articles, photographies etc. The facade decorations were replaced by new castings, and parts of it were gilded. This called for  high-quality restoration work, which included a complete reconstruction of the roof with its two outside towers. The square is unique with the pureness of the preserved architecture surrounding it – all the art nouveau appartment houses by designer F. Pawlů originated in the beginning of the 20th century (1899-1900).
